Professional Driving Lessons

Overview

One of the biggest advantages of The Next Street's Driver Rehab program is our expertise in professional driving instruction. Following your evaluations, you may be recommended for, or you may feel you need, professional driving lessons. Our lessons are done in two-hour blocks and are catered to your specific need. New to hand controls? No problem, we will teach you to use them. Feeling anxiety about the highway? No problem, we will work with you to calm your nerves and have you driving confidently. Lessons can be scheduled 7 days per week between 8am and 9pm. We offer lessons anywhere in the State of Connecticut.

What Do I Need to Prepare?

Please come wearing closed toed and closed heeled shoes. You must have your driver's license or learner's permit on you in order to take driving lessons. If you need corrective vision devices, please bring them. Other than that, simply come calm and open minded, ready to take on new challenges. Our driving lessons for people with medical challenges must come after the Clinical Evaluation. We are not able to permit driving lessons until basic competency and ability has been shown.

Possible Outcomes

The goal of our lessons is simply to educate. You will not be given any formal evaluations, and we will not communicate any of our findings to any doctor or agency. We will communicate with our Certified Driving Rehab Specialist and hope that these lessons will move you closer to the independence.

Cost and Payment

Driving Lessons start at $100 per hour. Lessons are discounted when large amounts are needed (8 or more hours). We do offer payment plans and will work with our clients to form a plan that works for their budget.
