Medical Evaluations for New Drivers

The Next Street’s Driver Rehabilitation Program offers services to new drivers with health challenges that may affect their ability to drive. If you want to learn to drive but are unsure of your ability to get behind the wheel, we have the perfect solutions to help you prepare for your life on the road. Our Driver Rehab program works in collaboration with our New Driver Training Program to build a driver training program that works for your needs. It is our goal to make this process easy and stress free and we are committed to addressing the specific needs each individual we serve.
We are proud to serve clients in CT, MA and RI.
There is no one size fits all solution so we seek to provide outstanding service and custom care for each person’s needs.

Step 1: Clinical Evaluation

Our Driving Rehab Specialists begin with a comprehensive clinical evaluation to assess our clients’ abilities to operate a vehicle without actually getting “behind the wheel”. This evaluation will take 90-120 minutes and will assess vision, cognitive function, reaction time, mobility and more. Following the evaluation, you will be provided a comprehensive report on your abilities and recommendations will be made to define the Next Step in your driver training journey.

Starting at $399

Step 2: Driver's Education & Adaptive Driving School

Following the successful completion of the Clinical Evaluation, you will work with our team to fulfill your driver education requirements. Our highly trained instructors have medical experience and can work with all abilities and will get you the training you need in the environment that works best for your learning style. We will be armed with the results of your clinical evaluation and prepared to make the adaptations necessary to make your experience easy and outstanding. Our instruction team can work with any adaptive driver training needs.

If Needed: Driving Evaluation

If you are in need of adaptive driving equipment or want to get a practical driving assessment done, we can provide a medical driving assessment. In many cases, a new driver needs driver training more than they need a driving evaluation, but we are happy to offer driving evaluations to those that have a specific need.

Starting at $399
